Welcome!
Caribbean
Health Network is an initiative
of the
JLF University to service the
medical student, Practicing physicians, Nurses and student nurses. With the
advance of technology, medical information, transmission of documents shall be
made available to better service the patient in the hospital or in the Home
Care delivery service.
The World Health Organization (WHO) has defined
health as a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being and not
merely the absence of disease or infirmity. Until early in the 20th century,
physicians in the private practice of medicine almost universally billed the
patient directly on a fee for service basis. During the second quarter, prepaid
group practice was introduced on the market and became the alternative and the
early growth of the managed medical care delivery. However, it is crucial in
administering quality care that quality of life be considered for each patient.
The quality of life is an important factor in
assessing any clinical outcome. It also measures the level of economic,
political, social, physical and psychological well being associated with a
particular disease or intervention. It has shown that health care professional
allocate more time managing their patient’s care than their records. Thanks to
the introduction of the Nursing process in the plan of treatment of the
patient, assessment, implementation have contributed positive outcome in the
managed healthcare and the quality care to be rendered in the patient home.
With the Global village today, the Caribbean
Health Network is geographically convenient for the formation and consolidation
of services as strategies under a Managed Care Organization. A centralized task
force that would rally all the countries within the Caribbean.
JLF University
is seeking to intensify its relations with a unified Caribbean culturally
stemmed from the same root, sociologically cemented as the hybrid product, and
culturally driven by our common collective behavior and our past historical
similarities.
